Overview of
Brookswood
If you head south of Langley City, you’ll find Brookswood. Brookswood real estate has no townhouses or condos but has plenty of large family homes on great lots. Brookswood is easily recognizable by its huge trees, great trails, and slower-paced way of life.

Brookswood's defining characteristics:
- Much of Brookswood’s charm comes from the mature Cedars and Firs that fill the neighbourhood.
- Walking or riding your bike through the trails of Brookswood allows you to listen to the birds or watch the squirrels that make a home in the giant cedars.
- Brookswood is known for its large private lots on quiet streets, and that’s why people who search for a safe, slower-paced neighbourhood find themselves in Brookswood.
Brookswood's Atmosphere and Appeal
Why you love living in Brookswood
Our clients settle on Brookswood if they prioritize outdoor space and aren’t concerned about a small drive for groceries. It’s common for Brookswood properties to be home to giant trees that give a traditional west coast feel.
The atmosphere of Brookswood
Brookswood real estate has a great small-town feel, with wide streets with plenty of parking. The established neighbourhoods have great front yards and shady backyards with large trees. Brookswood is a great place to take the bikes out for the day, with plenty of trails and paths and no challenging hills!
There is small commercial space scattered throughout the neighbourhood, but most of it can be found at Cedarbrook Mall. Cedarbrook Mall has a Buy-Low Foods, Hiram Sushi, and a few bakeries.
If you need a more robust shop, you’ll need to head 10 minutes north into Langley City.
Your Lifestyle In Brookswood

Activities In Brookswood
George Preston Recreation Centre has a curling center, ice arena, hall, and skateboard park. It’s also home to the Langley Rivermen of the BCHL. You should check out a game and grab a steak upstairs at the Lodge Steakhouse before puck drop. Have you always wanted to be a curler? For a change of speed, the Langley Curling Club has novice clinics for you to learn the roaring game.
Check out Glen Valley Stables; whether you’re a cowboy or a first-timer, they have the right horse for you. They do small personal group rides with well-cared-for horses with good-quality saddles and bridles.

Food and Drink in Brookswood
Brookswood has a surprisingly competitive sushi scene with four restaurants and their fans claiming it as the best sushi in Langley. Hirame sushi in Cedarbrook Mall has been a long staple, and they are known for their very large rolls.
For a special night out, we highly recommend The Lodge Steakhouse for some great food, wine and top-shelf hospitality. After opening in 2019, The Lodge quickly became one of Langley’s best steakhouses. They serve 100% CAB Prime beef aged to perfection. They surprisingly also offer vegan dishes, but you don’t win friends with salad. The Lodge is above the George Preston Arena.
The Artful Dodger Pub is doing it right. They’ve made their pub a staple of the community by keeping the pub full of daily events. Every Friday, they have karaoke and a great steak and prawns special. Saturdays: live music, Sundays: community market and Wednesday night is trivia night. Crazy enough, it’s the last pub in BC with a horse paddock!
The Brookswood Real Estate Market
Less first-time home buyers are choosing Brookswood because of the lack of townhouses and condos. However, Brookswood is a great area to buy your first detached home as there are plenty of older homes that are ready for sweat equity!
